Now in its fourth year, the Tech For Change Awards, presented by Toyota, highlight technology that makes everyday life better
August 15, 2024—Portland, OR—Digital Trends Tech for Change is an ongoing series celebrating the ways technology is improving society, from protecting fragile ecosystems to lifting up groups with disabilities and sometimes even just bringing a fractured, distracted society back together. Each year, the editors at DT look at all the products featured throughout the series and select overall winners across five different categories that all make a positive impact on the world through technology.
This years winners in each category are: Mobile: Google Project Gameface for Android; A/V: Bluetooth Auracast; Gaming: ByoWave Proteus Controller; Computing: Microsoft Surface Pro Flex Keyboard Bold; and in Entertainment: 4DX theater effects. Our editors selected each one of these as standing out by using technology to make the world a better place.
"We started Tech for Change a few years ago as a way to highlight brands that are using technology to its full potential, and we are fortunate to have Toyota as our partner in recognizing this year's winners," noted Digital Trends CEO Ian Bell. "Digital Trends' primary mission is to illuminate the path to a brighter future through clear and precise reporting. We are proud to be able to shine a positive light on these five companies and the change they are making through technology."
