October 10, 2022 - Portland, Oregon - Digital Trends Media Group announced last month during an internal company meeting a new vision and mission.
“When Dan and I started this company in 2006, the world was a different place,” says Ian Bell, founder and CEO of Digital Trends Media Group. “We’re still the same tech enthusiasts that we always were and conveying that through our content is why our readers and partners trust us to help them navigate consumer tech.”
Digital Trends Media Group has won scores of awards for their legacy brand, DigitalTrends.com, for their down-to-earth technology reviews and more recently their high production-value original content like Life on Mars and Picture This.
“What’s changed over the last 16 years is that we’re seeing how consequential our choices with technology are to our individual daily lives and to our collective experience as a global community,” continues Ian. “Our new vision, to ‘illuminate a path to a brighter future,’ responds to this new need to be mindful about the way we communicate about and deploy technology to serve humanity.”
To realize the company’s vision, the brand also announced a new mission to “build the planet’s most essential digital media company.”
Digital Trends Media Group also houses the popular men’s lifestyle brand, The Manual, and a host of other publishers that serve home and pet owners, including 21Oak and Pawtracks.com.
“We want all of our brands to work together to achieve this mission in order to help our readers navigate their daily lives across their particular needs, challenges and interests,” says Dan Gaul, co-founder and CTO of Digital Trends Media Group.
