Andrew Martonik, who has been acting Editor in Chief since January, has been officially promoted to the popular consumer tech-site's lead editorial post. Under Martonik's 6-month tenure in the interim position, he shaped a new direction for Digital Trends’ editorial group; recruited key section editors; and with his partners in SEO, product and engineering, contributed to increasing output and traffic by 30%.
Caleb Denison has been with the company for 10 years, amassing a large and loyal following in the TV and audio space on both digitaltrends.com and YouTube for his accessible product descriptions and reviews. In his new role as Editor at Large, he will continue to grow Digital Trends’ audiences on these channels, as well as take on special projects in collaboration with partners.
“Our content is foundational for Digital Trends Media Group,” says Kelly Dachtler, Chief Brand Officer at Digital Trends Media Group. “Our readers and partners rely on us to deliver valuable and timely information in unique ways. Martonik and Denison have cultivated deep and meaningful relationships with our audiences by catalyzing content into two-way conversations. They listen to our readers and viewers with intention and authenticity. Their vision is not only integral to our work here at Digital Trends Media Group, but is pushing the entire industry to new heights. I can’t wait to see what they accomplish in these roles.”
The promotion of Martonik and Denison comes on the heels of multiple key hires and promotions in 2021. Earlier this year, Digital Trends Media Group welcomed Seth Terpstra as Design Director; Mark Beare as VP of Engineering; and Andrew Searson, Director of Business and Data Analytics. Recent promotions have included Jigar Patel, VP of Audience Development and Insights; Kyle Lelli, Senior Director of SEO and Audience Development; Alana Wolfman, Senior Director of Commerce; and Mike Viescas, Director of Data Engineering.
