Digital Trends won the highest achievement, a Platinum Award, for their collaboration with Qualcomm. The partnership won for Interactive Brand Experience in the Digital Marketing & Communication Campaigns category.
The goal of the campaign was to move Qualcomm customers through the purchase path by tapping into Digital Trends’ reputation of quality content for ready-to-buy customers. In particular, Digital Trends sought to fill Qualcomm’s sales funnel, drive purchase intent for 5G, increase the likelihood of a purchase after viewing content and, ultimately, 5G product sales. Digital Trends reached 38 million unique users through a three-pronged campaign that included editorial coverage, sponsored content and ads totalling $373,000 of added media value.
Additionally, Digital Trends was honored with two gold awards: one for the best Business to Consumer website overall, and another for the Digital Trends microsite School’s Out, a branch of their Tech for Change initiative that takes a deep, personal dive into the way the internet has divided students and educators during the coronavirus pandemic.
“These awards truly reflect the breadth of our team’s capabilities,” says Ian Bell, co-founder and CEO of Digital Trends, “from innovative partnerships and sales campaigns to investigative reporting on the issues that matter most. We’re very proud of the work we’ve been accomplishing on these fronts, and dotCOMM’s recognition gives us even more fuel to keep firing our commercial and editorial engines on all cylinders.”
Last year dotCOMM celebrated Digital Trends with two platinums and one gold award.
