The 52nd episode of You Asked airs on Sunday, August 11. The successful show has a strong following and has aired weekly for a year, never missing a week.
August 8, 2024 - Portland, OR—More than a year ago, the team at Digital Trends was brainstorming a show that would deepen the relationship with its readers and YouTube subscribers. The editorial team noticed the multitude of questions coming in from readers, and many had a common thread, and You Asked was born. You Asked will celebrate an entire year on air this Sunday, with 52 episodes never missing a week, in a big way.
Host Caleb Denison will, of course, answer questions, take a trip down memory lane with some of the more exciting locations and questions received, show bloopers, and give away a huge TV from TCL.
"It is exciting and a great testament to Caleb and his team to reach this milestone," commented Digital Trends CEO Ian Bell. "The show was a natural way to let our readers connect with Caleb and get their questions answered. It has been incredible to see where they have taken it and its impact on our readers."
You Asked has never missed a week and has filmed beyond the studio on locations in Las Vegas for CES, Los Angeles, Tokyo, and New York.
"Shooting a show every week may sound easy, but it can be a challenge," said host and Digital Trends Senior Editor Caleb Denison. "Personally, I am proud to get to this point. It has been a great experience, and I really enjoyed connecting with our viewers. Interestingly enough, one of the questions we got wasn't about tech but actually about me and my health. One viewer wrote, "My husband loves your content, so you're on my TV a lot. I noticed you may have a nodule on the right side of your thyroid. Just thought you should get it checked out if you haven't already." I was shocked and touched that someone would write about that. I checked it out, and all is fine, but it showed me that we had formed a real relationship with our viewers."
You Asked has been a massive success for the Digital Trends channel. Throughout 51 episodes, they've answered over 210 viewer questions, and that is just scratching the surface of the nearly 400,000 questions that have come in. The show has pulled in over four million views so far, along with over eight thousand comments and one hundred sixty thousand likes!
"This show clearly resonates with our audience," noted Bell. "With so much content out there being AI-generated, I think people tune in to get the thoughts of an actual subject expert that they know and trust, like Caleb. It has shown us that our readers want more content like this, and we are working on new shows to address that need."
